ESS, an energy storage system and electric power are preserved and used when necessary, thereby improving electric power use efficiency and supplying high quality electric power. In other words, although the electricity produced at the power station is stored in a large secondary battery, it is a system that transmits energy as needed to increase energy efficiency. The smart grid is a fusion combined technology that combines the meanings of intelligent (Smart) and electric grid (Grid), ICT technology is integrated into the conventional electric power grid, and small is managing individual energy consumption to reduce unnecessary energy , Next generation power grid that facilitates national energy management through demand management of power. With the recent climate change, in the situation that the demand for high efficiency energy is rapidly increasing, analyze the trend of technology and policies of the next generation ESS and smart grid which can maximize energy efficiency, and on future prospects Analysis results were presented.
